In 1985 several Southern Baptist missions organizations discovered one another and formed a fellowship, so that their ministries might encourage one another. Each of these was a ministry unto itself and each one worked with local churches and held to the Baptist Faith and Message. The blessing of the International Mission Board was given to them and a written agreement of cooperation was soon signed. The Fellowship now includes 15 organizations and is ministering to dozens of countries around the world.
